vfx CREATIVE
Hunter is a 19-year-old visual effects artist and aspiring editor currently studying in the Film and Video Production program at SAIT. As the VFX Supervisor for Istudiyo ADG, Hunter brings both passion and precision to every frame, combining technical skill with a relentless drive to improve.
Before entering post-secondary, Hunter spent years self-teaching through YouTube, learning software such as DaVinci Resolve and Adobe Premiere Pro. His skill set has since grown to include After Effects, DaVinci Fusion, Pro Tools, and Blender. Known for his persistence, Hunter never backs down from a creative challenge, often pushing himself to master new techniques by day’s end.
His portfolio includes a diverse range of projects, such as The Roach (short film, Sound Mixer), the SAIT student commercial The Interocitor (Lead VFX Artist), and two parody music albums. He has also contributed to numerous peer-led projects, offering his expertise in animated titles, colour grading, and various post-production services.
Hunter’s collaborative mindset and professionalism extend well beyond the edit suite. He has hands-on experience in several on-set roles, including Director, Actor (lead and background), Boom Operator, Sound Mixer, Production Assistant, and Locations Manager.
For Hunter, VFX is more than just a skill, it’s a passion. He believes visual effects are a cornerstone of modern filmmaking, giving stories the power to transcend the ordinary. Whether it’s creating an explosion or building a surreal visual world, Hunter is the person you call when you need to make the impossible look effortless.
